PCB Assembly (PCBA)

We assemble your electronic boards on automated pick-and-place machines. From prototypes to small and mid-volume production runs we work flexibly — and small quantities are genuinely welcome. Whether the board is an ESDEV design or your own, assembly is delivered after quality checks and testing.

PCB Assembly

What We Do

From automated placement to quality check: the four pillars of our assembly service.

Automated SMD assembly

We place SMD components on your boards with automated pick-and-place machines. The assembly programme is prepared from your production data — Gerber files, the BOM and placement data — so every board receives the same precise, repeatable placement. Compared with hand assembly, automated placement significantly improves both speed and consistency.

Prototype assembly

Need the first samples of a new design? We take on prototype runs of just a few boards. At the prototype stage speed comes first: we get your design into a testable state as quickly as possible so validation can start sooner. When the board was designed at ESDEV, design and assembly proceed within the same team, which shortens the loop even further.

Small and mid-volume production

Many assembly lines expect high volumes; we don't. Small and mid-volume runs are not an exception for us — they are our core business. We genuinely welcome low-quantity jobs, and on repeat orders we reuse the same assembly programme and process knowledge, keeping batches consistent over time.

Quality check and testing

Every assembled board goes through quality: component placement, polarity and solder joints are all reviewed. On request we also run functional tests, so your boards arrive in working condition. Potential defects are caught during production — not in the field.

How We Work

Five steps from files to delivery

The flow we follow on every assembly job.

  1. Files

You send us your Gerber, BOM and placement files.

  2. Review

We review the files and agree quantity and schedule together.

  3. Preparation

The assembly programme is prepared and components are checked.

  4. Assembly

Boards are assembled on the pick-and-place line.

  5. Inspection & delivery

After quality check and functional testing on request — the boards are delivered.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you accept low-quantity assembly jobs?

Yes. We work at every scale, from prototype runs of just a few boards to small and mid-volume production. Low quantities are not an exception for us — flexible, low-minimum jobs are the core of our assembly service.

Which files do I need to provide for assembly?

Gerber production files, the bill of materials (BOM) and component placement data are enough for us to prepare the assembly programme. If anything is missing or unclear, we review the files together with you.

Do you only assemble boards designed by ESDEV?

No. Alongside boards designed by ESDEV, we also assemble boards you have designed yourself. When the design was done at ESDEV, design and production knowledge sit in the same team, so the process moves even faster.

Are the boards tested after assembly?

Every assembled board goes through quality check — placement, polarity and solder joints are all reviewed. On request we also carry out functional testing, and your boards are delivered in working condition.
